This is the first time I'm blogging.
Friends suggested this blog so that I can keep them "entertained" with the countless funny / hilarious /cannot-make-it encounters I have with my pupils.
Joke for Today
We came across the word 'dropouts' in our English lessons today. I was explaining to the class what it meant, and that led me to discuss with them about Compulsory Education Act.
Me: According to the Compulsory Education Act, the governement can put your parents in jail because they don't send you to school.
Pupil (surprised look): Really?
Me: Yes. They haven't done it yet. But under the law, they really can put your parents in jail because they don't send you to school."
Pupil (more scared than surprised look): Huh? But my parents are very busy. They ask me to come to school myself. How?
This would have been cute coming from a Primary 1 pupil. Unfortunately, it came out of a P6 boy's mouth.
*FAINT*
